Our Model ‘C’ cart is the true workhorse of our rolling cart catalogue. It is incredibly robust, but still well-proportioned, and attractive. As with all the other things we build, these carts will never need to be replaced and will last the lifetime of your practice.
We build this 3-level cart in two different heights:
- 19” (coffee table height) for young clients, or older clients seated on a couch or low chair.
- 28” (table height) suited for adults or adolescents, either standing or seated in a normal height chair.
The 28” version of the Model ‘C’ has 2 configurations available:
- One version has portions of the lowest deck cut-out. This provides adequate foot-room and knee space while standing or sitting at the cart.
- The other version has a full bottom deck, without the cutaway portions. This version with the full bottom deck will allow for more storage on this lower deck, including the capability of storing an entire sand tray . It should also be noted that the underside of the lowest deck is still ~ 3.5” above the floor, which is plenty of room for a client who is standing at this cart to fit their toes under the leading edge of the cart, though not quite enough room should a client want to sit in a chair to access the sand tray, in which case more room is required for a pair of feet, which the ‘cutaway’ version of this cart provides.
All versions of our Model ‘C’ carts are equipped with three levels or ‘decks’, two of which are permanent (both the top and bottom decks) and one thinner deck that is removable. This middle ‘removable’ deck sits on four stout wooden pins that are mounted on the inside of each of the 4 cart legs. This deck can be merely lifted out if not needed. The purpose of this ‘removable’ deck is to provide flexible options for storage of items below the top deck of the cart. The exact placement of this middle removable deck will depend on which version of the Model ‘C’ you choose – see the accompanying pictures.
